To find and beat Spamton NEO, you must complete a hidden side quest that begins in Cyber City's trash zone and culminates in a secret boss battle in the basement of Queen's Mansion. The entire process involves taking a deal from Spamton, buying a KeyGen from his shop, using it to access the mansion's basement, finding an 'Empty Disc,' trading it back to Spamton for a 'Loaded Disc,' and then inserting that disc into the basement machine to trigger the fight. For a pacifist victory, the strategy isn't about attacking—it's about repeatedly using the 'Snap All' ACT command to sever the puppet's strings.
Where Do You First Meet Spamton?
Your first encounter with everyone's favorite [[BIG SHOT]] happens after Queen separates you from Susie and Ralsei in the Cyber City. As Kris, you'll eventually navigate through a section with speeding cars and find yourself in an alleyway. A dumpster on the left is your target. Interact with it, and Spamton G. Spamton will pop out, initiating a battle.
This isn't the main event, but it's a mandatory first step. Don't attack him. To win peacefully, you need to engage with his offers. From your ACT menu, select either 'Deal' or 'Heal Deal.' You'll have to navigate a series of dialogue choices, but the goal is to ultimately agree to his deal without giving him your money. Once you spare him, he'll disappear, but he'll be waiting for you later. For players on PC, a small Easter egg exists: when he prompts you to press F1 for help, doing so will actually heal you during the fight.
How Do You Start the Real Quest?
After you reunite with your party and make your way to Queen's magnificent mansion, the proper quest to unlock Spamton NEO can begin. This part involves some backtracking and a key item purchase. You can't proceed without first visiting Spamton's own shop, which is tucked away in the place you first met him.
Step 1: Find Spamton's Shop and Buy the KeyGen
From the main lobby of Queen's Mansion, find the warp door. Use it to travel back to the 'Trash Zone.' Head all the way to the west (left) of this area, past the acid river, to find the entrance to Spamton's shop. He has several items for sale, and their prices fluctuate wildly. You can buy his armor or weapons if you like, but the one item you absolutely must purchase to continue the quest is the KeyGen. Buy it from him, exhaust his dialogue, and then head back to the mansion.
Step 2: Locate the Mansion's Hidden Basement
With the KeyGen in your inventory, return to the main hall of Queen's Mansion. From the central room, go to the bottom right exit. You'll enter a long hallway with portraits and patrolling swatchlings. Continue past the first door and through the next exit into a room filled with cone-like obstacles and cars driving in patterns. Navigate past these cars to the far right wall. You'll discover a hidden passage.
Follow this path until you find a switch. Press it to reveal a new path that leads to a locked door. This is where your newly acquired KeyGen comes into play. Use it to unlock the door, granting you access to the mansion's dark, forgotten basement.

What's in the Basement?
The basement is a sprawling, dangerous area filled with electrical hazards and challenging platforming sections. Your goal here is to find a specific key item: the Empty Disc. When you first enter, you'll need to navigate past electrified wires that flicker on and off. Time your movements carefully to avoid taking damage.
The path will eventually lead you to a section with teacup rides over a bottomless pit. This part can be tricky, as you have to dodge bullets while riding the cups. Survive this gauntlet, and you'll find yourself in an area with railroad tracks. Follow the tracks north and then to the far right. At the end of the path, you will find a strange, defunct machine. Interact with it to retrieve the Empty Disc.
How Do You Trigger the Spamton NEO Fight?
Now that you have the Empty Disc, you're holding the key to unlocking the superboss. The final steps involve one last trip to see Spamton and then returning to the machine where you found the disc.
Step 1: Trade the Empty Disc for the Loaded Disc
With the Empty Disc in hand, leave the basement the way you came. Use the warp door in the mansion lobby to travel back to the Trash Zone one more time and visit Spamton's shop. Talk to him and give him the Empty Disc. In a flurry of glitchy dialogue, he'll take it and give you the Loaded Disc in exchange. He has now transferred himself onto the disc, ready for a new body.

Step 2: Load the Disc and Prepare for Battle
This is the point of no return. Head back to Queen's Mansion and make your way down into the basement again. Go back to the exact same machine at the end of the railroad tracks where you found the original disc. Interact with the machine and place the Loaded Disc inside.
The transfer will be complete. As you turn to leave the room, the machine will activate, and Spamton NEO will emerge, blocking your path and initiating the secret boss fight. Luckily, Susie and Ralsei will arrive just in time to help you face this formidable foe.
How Do You Beat Spamton NEO Peacefully?
Fighting Spamton NEO is one of the toughest challenges in Deltarune, but the pacifist strategy is surprisingly straightforward, though it requires precise dodging. Your goal is not to reduce his HP to zero but to break the strings controlling him.
Your primary tool is the ACT command. Every turn, have Kris use 'Snap All.' This action cuts one of Spamton's wires, bringing you closer to victory. Ralsei should also use 'Snap All' whenever possible. Since this costs a significant amount of TP (Tension Points), your main challenge will be surviving his attacks long enough to build the necessary meter. Use Susie's 'Supercharge' ACT to boost the party's TP gain, making it easier to use Snap All more frequently.

Spamton NEO's attacks are chaotic and intense. He'll throw his face at you, fire swarms of tiny heads, and launch a devastating 'heart-shaped object' attack. Focus on grazing bullets to build TP faster. Use healing items when necessary, but prioritize snapping those strings. After you successfully snap all the wires, the battle will end peacefully.
What Are the Rewards?
Your reward depends on how you win the fight. Both methods will grant you a Shadow Crystal, which can be given to Seam back in Castle Town.
- Pacifist Victory (Snapping all strings): You receive the Dealmaker. This is a powerful piece of armor that can be equipped by any character. It provides a solid defensive boost, a magic stat increase, and raises the amount of money you earn from battles. For a standard or pacifist playthrough, this is by far the better reward.
- Violent Victory (Fighting until HP is zero): You receive the Puppet Scarf. This is a weapon exclusively for Ralsei that provides a significant attack boost but lowers his magic power.
A Final Word
The battle against Spamton NEO is the culmination of a fantastic and cryptic side quest. It's a true test of skill that pushes the game's mechanics to their limit. Whether you're in it for the challenge, the lore, or the powerful rewards, taking down this rogue program is an essential part of the complete Deltarune Chapter 2 experience. Now get out there and make a deal.
