Your first major mission in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight sends you and Commissioner Gordon into the neon-drenched Iceberg Lounge to bring down mob boss Carmine Falcone. This multi-stage level is a comprehensive tutorial for the game's core mechanics, blending platforming, puzzle-solving, stealth, and large-scale brawls. Success requires mastering both Batman's gadgets and Gordon's unique tools as you fight your way through a nightclub, a chaotic kitchen, and a surreal fun house, culminating in a showdown complicated by the arrival of the mysterious Red Hood.
This guide breaks down every step, puzzle, and collectible location to ensure you can put Falcone on ice for good.
How do you get into Falcone's office?
The front door of the Iceberg Lounge is a no-go. The direct path to Falcone is hidden, requiring you to navigate the club's upper levels, kitchen, and a secret fun house in the basement. The mission is broken into three distinct environmental puzzles: the nightclub infiltration, the kitchen food service challenge, and the fun house finale.
Navigating the Nightclub
Your first objective is to bypass the main floor. Immediately grapple to the high ground on your left. You'll enter a series of vents and maintenance corridors, introducing you to basic platforming and gadget use. Security cameras are your primary obstacle here. You can either hit the attached power box with a Batarang or, for a different approach, use Gordon's goo gun to temporarily disable the camera itself. This highlights how both characters offer unique solutions to the same problem.
After crossing a set of spinning lights (which you must freeze with Gordon's goo gun), you'll find yourself on a balcony overlooking a large group of Falcone's thugs. This is a great opportunity to practice stealth takedowns or simply dive in for a brawl. After clearing the room, you'll meet Selina Kyle, who works at the lounge. She'll point you toward a 'scenic route' through the kitchen to reach Falcone's basement office. Before heading down, smash the nearby LEGO objects to assemble a giant red fist, which you'll use to knock down the door to the next area.

How do you solve the kitchen food puzzle?
Once inside the kitchen, you're greeted by a new set of enemies, including chefs and thugs armed with katanas. After defeating them, you'll discover your path forward is a food elevator that only opens for a delivery to Falcone. You need to assemble a three-part meal on a large tray: sushi, a burger, and ice cream.
- The Sushi: This is the easiest piece. It's sitting on a counter on the left side of the room. Simply pick it up and place it on the main serving platter.
- The Burger: The burger is on a high shelf. To reach it, have one character stand on the pressure plate on the floor. This will lower the platform, allowing the second character to grab the burger and add it to the tray.
- The Ice Cream: The ice cream is inside a walk-in freezer, but a powerful fan is blocking the entrance. To stop the fan, switch to Gordon and use his goo gun to clog the three large vents blowing cold air into the main kitchen. With the airflow stopped, you can walk in, grab the ice cream, and complete the order. Once all three food items are on the tray, the elevator will open, granting you access to the basement.
What's the path through the Fun House?
The basement isn't an office but a twisted labyrinth leading to Falcone's Fun House. This section emphasizes stealth and environmental awareness. Use your Detective Mode scan to track enemy patrols and perform double stealth takedowns to clear rooms efficiently. Your AI partner will automatically handle their part of the takedown, making these maneuvers seamless.
Keep an eye out for hidden paths. Along the main route, you'll spot posters for Black Canary and other DC characters, as well as doors for 'Club Constantine' and 'Xanadu's Inn'. While these appear to be Easter eggs, always be on the lookout for destructible walls. To finally enter the Fun House proper, you need to find a buildable cannon. Assemble it, load it with a nearby cannonball, and fire it at the garish Fun House entrance to blast it open.

Inside, you're in for a chaotic ride. The area is filled with ball pits, bouncy castles, and enemies. Your main goals here are to find collectibles and push forward to the final confrontation.
Finding the Vault and the Red Power Brick
This area contains the mission's most valuable secret: a Red Power Brick. To get it, you need to solve a two-part code puzzle. Tucked away in a corner of the Fun House is a locked vault with a three-digit tumbler lock. Nearby, you'll find a piece of paper with 'X96' written on it. You should have found another piece of paper earlier in the mission, just after meeting Selina, that read '59 X'. By mentally overlaying the two notes, you get the complete code: 596. Enter this into the vault to open it and claim the 'Building Bridge' Red Power Brick.
How do you defeat Falcone and the Red Hood?
The final sequence is a massive, multi-phase running battle. After navigating the Fun House's platforming puzzles, you'll build a massive two-man drill to break through the floor into the final arena. But instead of a fight, you trigger a dance-off. To distract the guards, you must complete a simple rhythm-game sequence. Gordon, even in his skeleton costume, shows off some impressive breakdancing moves.

Just as the dance party ends, the Red Hood and his own gang crash the scene to steal from Falcone. This erupts into a three-way brawl: Batman and Gordon vs. Falcone's Thugs vs. The Red Hood Gang. The key here is to stay mobile and manage the crowd. Focus on taking out enemies in groups and use your special takedowns when they become available. There is no complex boss mechanic; the challenge comes from the sheer number of enemies on screen.
After thinning the herd, a cutscene triggers. Red Hood makes off with a sample of some unknown substance, Falcone attempts to flee, and Selina Kyle makes a timely intervention. You'll chase Falcone back out toward the club's entrance for one last brawl against his remaining bodyguards. Once they're defeated, the mission ends with District Attorney Harvey Dent arriving to arrest Falcone, teasing his own eventual transformation into Two-Face.
Mission Collectibles Checklist
Don't leave the Iceberg Lounge without grabbing all the hidden items. Replaying the mission in Free Play mode may be necessary to get everything.
- WayneTech Caches (5): These are hidden throughout the level. One is found early in the vents, another requires solving a small puzzle in a side room off the kitchen, and a third is at the top of the bouncy castle in the Fun House. Explore every corner to find them all.
- Disco Walls (5): These are destructible, sparkling walls found primarily in the Fun House section. Smashing all five is required for a trophy.
- Red Power Brick (1): Located inside the Fun House vault. The code is 596, found by combining two clues from the level.
What are the mission rewards?
Completing the 'Carmine Falcone' mission is a major step in the story and provides substantial rewards. Upon finishing, you'll receive a Skill Brick for upgrades, unlock new costumes for your characters, and earn a Batcave trophy for your collection. More importantly, you'll have a firm grasp of the skills needed to take on the more dangerous threats lurking in the shadows of Gotham City.
