This is the fastest, no-nonsense 100% achievement guide for Chef Knight, designed to get you the final trophy in a single 3-6 hour playthrough. The entire completion hinges on three missable objectives: collecting all 5 Legendary Seasonings, completing the "Gourmet Gnome" side quest, and using those rewards to cook a specific meal before the final boss. Get those right, and every other achievement will fall into place naturally.
Everything is obtainable in one run, and there are no difficulty-related achievements. Follow this roadmap closely, and "The Full Menu" trophy is yours.
The Roadmap to 100%
Your path to completion is linear, with optional objectives branching off the main story path. Nothing is permanently missable until you enter the final boss chamber in the Royal Kitchen. Before that point, you can backtrack to almost every area. Your primary focus, outside of progressing the story, should be on ticking off the big three missable tasks as they become available.
Your Single Playthrough Checklist:
- Collect all 5 Legendary Seasonings: These are hidden across the game's main areas. We'll detail their exact locations below. This is required for the "Spice of Life" achievement.
- Complete Truffles' Questline: You must find and help the NPC Truffles to unlock the "Gourmet Gnome" achievement. He also provides a key item for the true ending.
- Secure the True Ending: This requires the previous two steps, plus finding a hidden recipe and cooking the "Ambrosia Tart" at the final campfire. This unlocks the "Master Chef" achievement instead of the standard ending trophy.
Unmissable Story Achievements
Four of the achievements in Chef Knight are tied to story progression and cannot be missed. As long as you finish the game, you will earn these. They are awarded for defeating the four major bosses that gatekeep new areas.
- First Course: Defeat the Grater Golem in the Crumbling Pantry.
- Main Course: Defeat Sir Loin of Beef in the Searing Savannah.
- Just Desserts: Defeat The Fondoom in the Molten Mire.
- The King is Served: Defeat King Gorge in the Royal Kitchen. (Note: If you follow this guide for the true ending, you will unlock "Master Chef" instead of this achievement. They are mutually exclusive on a single ending cutscene, but both are not required for "The Full Menu".)
Missable Combat & Upgrade Achievements
These achievements require you to engage with the combat systems beyond basic attacks. They are all missable but can be easily cleaned up before the final boss.
How to Get "Flawless Palate"
This requires defeating any of the four main bosses without taking a single hit. The easiest boss for this is the first one, the Grater Golem. Its attack patterns are slow and clearly telegraphed. Stay at mid-range, bait out its cheese-grater slam, dodge, get in two hits with your Slicing Saber, and back out. Don't get greedy. If you get hit, you can let it defeat you and restart the fight from the beginning.
Grinding "Pan-demic"
For this, you need to defeat 100 enemies using the Frying Pan's parry-riposte move. You won't get this naturally. The best farming spot is in the first level, the Crumbling Pantry, in the area just before the Grater Golem's arena. Here, three weak "Moldy Mite" enemies spawn close together. Lure them, parry their slow lunges, and then rest at the nearby campfire to respawn them. It takes about 15-20 minutes of focused grinding.
Unlocking "Flavor Fury"
There are four special "Flavor Fury" attacks, which are powerful moves that consume one charge of your Fury meter. To unlock each one, you must cook a specific meal at a campfire for the first time. The recipes are found on scrolls throughout the world, but you only need the ingredients.
| Flavor Fury Attack | Required Ingredients | Common Location |
|---|---|---|
| Sear-ious Slash | 1x Scorch-Pepper, 1x Beast Meat | Searing Savannah |
| Fungal Flurry | 1x Glowshroom, 1x Cave Crawler Leg | Whispering Woods |
| Glacial Garnish | 1x Frost-Fern, 1x Mire Fish | Molten Mire (Icy Caves sub-area) |
| Shocking Soufflé | 1x Volt-Fruit, 1x Griffin Egg | Sky-High Spire |

The "Well Seasoned" Upgrade
To fully upgrade a weapon, you need to collect "Scrap Metal Scraps" from chests and fallen armored enemies. The cheapest and most efficient weapon to upgrade is your starting Slicing Saber. It requires a total of 35 Scraps to reach its maximum level. Prioritize spending your scraps on this weapon exclusively until the achievement pops. You should gather enough materials naturally by the time you reach the third major area, the Molten Mire.
The Collectible Hunt: All 5 Legendary Seasonings ("Spice of Life")
This is the main collectible quest and is essential for the true ending. Finding all five unlocks the "Spice of Life" achievement. They are hidden in specific locations, often off the beaten path.
- Ashen Pepper: Found in the Searing Savannah. In the large open area with the stampeding "Buffaloin," look for a cave entrance on the northern cliff wall, hidden by a waterfall of barbecue sauce. The pepper is on a pedestal inside.
- Glimmer Salt: Located in the Whispering Woods. You must navigate the dark section using your torch. In the final room of the dark zone, instead of taking the main exit, look for a false wall on the right marked by faint glowing mushrooms. The salt is in a hidden alcove.
- King's Thyme: This is in the castle area leading to the Royal Kitchen. In the grand library, you'll see several tall bookshelves. One of them can be pushed. Find the one with scuff marks on the floor in front of it and push it aside to reveal a secret room containing the thyme.
- Shadow Truffle: Awarded for completing the "Gourmet Gnome" side quest (see next section). You cannot get this without helping Truffles.
- Phoenix Chili: Hidden in the Molten Mire. Near the end of the level, you have to cross a river of lava by jumping on cooling platforms. About halfway across, look to your left for a small, isolated rock island with a chest on it. A precise, running jump is required to reach it. The chili is inside the chest.

The "Gourmet Gnome" Side Quest
This missable quest is the only way to get the Shadow Truffle seasoning and is therefore mandatory for the 100%. It's a short, four-step questline.
- Find Truffles: The gnome is located in the Whispering Woods, just off the main path in a small clearing filled with oversized mushrooms. He'll be crying about his lost ingredients.
- Gather Glowshrooms: He asks you to collect 3 special "Glowshrooms." These are bright blue mushrooms found in the darker, cave-like sections of the Whispering Woods. They are larger than the normal glowing flora and are marked on your map once you accept the quest.
- Defeat the Beast: After you return the Glowshrooms, Truffles will perform a ritual that accidentally summons a hostile "Myconid Monarch" miniboss. It's a straightforward fight, but be wary of its poison spore attack.
- Claim Your Reward: Once the Monarch is defeated, speak to Truffles again. He will thank you profusely and reward you with the Shadow Truffle, a key ingredient and the fourth Legendary Seasoning.

The True Ending: How to Become a "Master Chef"
This is the grand finale of your 100% run. Unlocking the "Master Chef" achievement requires several steps to be completed before you initiate the final boss fight with King Gorge. This will grant you the game's true ending.
Step 1: Collect All 5 Legendary Seasonings
You must have the "Spice of Life" achievement. If you are missing any of the five seasonings (Ashen Pepper, Glimmer Salt, King's Thyme, Shadow Truffle, Phoenix Chili), you cannot proceed.
Step 2: Complete the "Gourmet Gnome" Quest
This is a prerequisite for the step above, as Truffles provides the Shadow Truffle. If you haven't helped him, you'll be locked out of the ending.
Step 3: Find the "Ambrosia Tart" Recipe
The recipe for the final meal is located in the last level, the Royal Kitchen. Just before the throne room entrance, there is a large fountain. Walk behind the fountain's waterfall to discover a hidden chamber. The "Ambrosia Tart" recipe scroll is on a table inside.
Step 4: Cook the Ambrosia Tart Before Fighting King Gorge
This is the point of no return. The game places a final campfire just outside the throne room doors. You MUST use this campfire to cook the Ambrosia Tart. The recipe requires all 5 Legendary Seasonings plus a "Celestial Flour" which is given to you by the castle's seneschal after you defeat The Fondoom. Once you cook the Tart, you will consume it automatically. Now, walk through the throne room doors and defeat King Gorge. Instead of the standard ending, you will trigger the true ending cutscene and unlock the "Master Chef" achievement.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How long does it take to 100% Chef Knight? A single, focused playthrough following a guide will take between 3 and 6 hours for most players. Your first blind playthrough might take slightly longer.
Are there any difficulty-related achievements? No. Chef Knight has one standard difficulty setting, and no achievements are tied to it. You cannot change the difficulty.
Can I still get 100% if I miss a Legendary Seasoning? No. The five seasonings are mandatory for the "Spice of Life" achievement and the "Master Chef" true ending. If you reach the final campfire and are missing one, you will need to load an earlier save or start a new game.
What is the point of no return? The absolute point of no return is walking through the large double doors into the throne room to fight King Gorge. The game auto-saves at this point, so ensure you have cooked the Ambrosia Tart and completed all other tasks before entering.
The Final Course
And that's it. With the Ambrosia Tart cooked and King Gorge defeated, the "Master Chef" and "The Full Menu" achievements will unlock, marking your 100% completion of Chef Knight. While the game's main path is simple, its completionist journey is a rewarding scavenger hunt that tests your observation and dedication. By focusing on the three missable pillars—collectibles, the gnome quest, and the final meal—you can conquer this culinary kingdom with ease.
